Hello. I'd like to know more about the cookie jar I have. I am not interesting in selling it, it's a cherished momento from my childhood that I'd like to pass down to my sons someday. The lid had been broken back in the early 50's or 60's by it's original owner(my godfather) and he glued it back together. So the lid is in tact, but you can see the glue lines, and I'm sure that lowers it's value. The silver sticker under that lid says "Ransburg handpainted Indianapolis Indiana". I've searched the internet and all I seem to find are the Ransburg Jars that have asters or daisys painted onto the jars. Mine is a blue round jar with water lilies painted on it. There are no markings/imprints on the bottom of the jar. Any info would be helpful. Thanks. |
